Working FineMicrowave.
Simply put, I went back to basic, and a brand I knew that last. I went with a few other brands, and have had few issues. I had an older model of this brand, and lasted a while. This one for now is working great. The only down own side, one must be extra careful to make sure that it is off.
The issue here is that, once you turn the off nob to the way left, it is not off, and most people I believe will walk away from once they turned it to the left and it clicks. However, it is not off, and must be positioned to the off section.
My question, and that is why I took off one star because these writing will fade, and it is almost going to become like opening a safety box, past any return to the off mark like a combination lock. On a lift of major gripes, this is low because you will get custom to it.
I would simply, let complete left turn where it stops become permanently off
Again, other than the loud ticking, I am happy.

Fast becoming our favorite applianceWe like the 3 knob controls, sufficient to do what's needed without over complication. Makes toast nicely and lots of if needed. This is the best way we ever found to heat leftover pizza, no microwave "Sogginess". It is just the right size, not a countertop hog, but big enough to make a small caesural if needed. It does get hot on top, so don't store paper plates or towels there. The oven temperature is not exactly true, so put an oven temperature gauge in the first few times it is used for baking. If someone stole it, I'd buy it again!

Replaced a 20 yr old B&D Toaster oven that still worked, but lacked features and was really dirtyReplaced a 20 yr old B&D Toaster oven that still worked, but lacked features and was really dirty. I wanted some more controls, since without kids at home, using the full oven is wasteful.
I've had it a month and used it about 10 times, so this is an early review with limited use. Consider it a first impression. It is an analog device, which should last a long time.
If there is a fan, I've not heard it.
The bake and broiling settings work great. Made some baked-cheese sandwiches last week. They were good, but lacked the pan-fried-in-butter goodness that a typical grilled-cheese sandwich provides.
Fish sticks, boiled Brussels spouts, and grilled shrimp all turned out great. A+.
The included pan, grate and other accessories also fit from the old toaster oven, which has been nice.
So far, the bad part is the toasting. I don't know about other households, but we use the same bread for toast all the time. Because there are knobs and analog timer settings for the toast darkness, it is much too complex. Nearly impossible to get a repeatable outcome.
There needs to be a 1 button or 1-lever switch that does toast the same every time. It is much too easy to miss-dial one of the 3 control dials and end up with under/over brown toast. A toaster oven should make perfect toast every time, once set. This is the main disappointment.
I haven't tried to toast a mini-pizza, but suspect that will work great. The size of this counter top oven prevents cooking a medium pizza – Maybe if it is cut into quarters, 1 quarter could fit? IDK.
The other disappointment is for the label sizes on the dials. Even wearing reading glasses, I can't read the words. Did they actually put English AND French words on the labels? Srsly?
I've used the temperature setting just for baking. Seemed to work fine. Close enough on the temperatures, but I didn't put an oven thermometer inside to check.
Broiling works nice.
Cleaning: Cheese did drip from the grate down to the pan underneath everything. Pulling that pan out is trivial and just a quick wipe/spray and the aluminum was clean. I don't know about splatter on the glass or walls yet.
I miss the 1 lever toast function of the old B&D toaster oven, but like the other features provided. Fix the too small labels, please.

Small but makes food fast and easy!!I've only had this toaster oven for about 2 weeks now but have used it numerous times. Although a little smaller than I expected, it works well. It cooks food fast and toasts well. It makes a great steak and bakes at a faster rate than previous toaster ovens. It's pretty simple as far as the knobs go but I don't mind bc I'm able to cook everything I've wanted to so far. It is very easy to clean. My one complaint is that the baking pan that comes with it isn't deep at all. It's like a quarter of an inch deep or less, very small so I'm afraid juices from foods may spill over in the future although it hasn't happened yet. Oh and the outside of the oven gets pretty hot when cooking so if you are going to store it on a rack or shelf, make sure you don't keep other items directly above it or allow at least 10 inches or more space above. If you don't, anything placed above the oven within ten inches to a foot or so, will get extremely hot. Definitely do not store anything flammable, aerosol cans, etcetera, nearby. Other than that, it's a great little toaster oven, at least so far it is.
Long Life! BLACK+DECKER TO1950SBD 6-Slice Toaster Oven –
Works better than the last versionI purchased the Black & Decker TO1950SBD 6-slice convection countertop toaster oven. I've been a fan of Black & Decker toaster ovens for quite a long time. I've tried others but in the last few years I've settled on just using Black & Decker. I just find them easy to use, easy to clean and no hassle for quick cooking.
My last B&D toaster oven was an earlier version of this same oven. Convection heating and same trays… slightly different aesthetically, but same oven. My only issue over the years was that the convection part of the oven wasn't "great". It worked OK but I got uneven cooking sometimes and I would inevitably just get in the habit of turning the tray around half way through. I have yet to have that problem with the newer oven. The old one finally burnt out a heating element up top.
I've had no problems using the broiler, baker or toaster functions on the new oven. Temperature seems dead on… and my toast is crispy outside and soft inside. In fact, the old oven trays fit in the new oven too. I've also maxxed out the temp and I have used it to keep items warm. Couldn't be happier with my purchase and I'll likely buy another Black and Decker when this one dies. Definitely recommended to anyone who doesn't want to heat up the whole house for a meal.. or for just morning toast.
