Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on each square, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over the butter on each square.
- Place 1 tablespoon of your chosen filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the squares towards the center, slightly overlapping them to create a pinwheel shape.
- Brush the pastries with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
