Mulgipuder

Method
- In a large pot, combine the pearl barley, potatoes, onion, water, and salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- In a separate pan, cook the bacon or sausage until crispy. Remove from the pan and chop into small pieces.
- Once the barley and potatoes are tender and the mixture has thickened, stir in the cooked bacon or sausage (if using).
- Serve the Mulgipuder hot, topped with a dollop of sour cream.
- Enjoy!
