Fried mushrooms are delicious mushrooms that have been coated in breadcrumbs or batter and then fried until they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They make a tasty appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (such as button mushrooms or portobello mushrooms)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into thick slices.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Season the flour with salt and pepper.
  4. Dip each mushroom slice first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure they are well coated.
  5. Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the coated mushrooms in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the fried mushrooms from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
