Cuca cake, also known as “Cuca” or “Cuca de Banana,” is a Brazilian dessert that originated in the southern region of the country. It is a delightful coffee cake-like treat that typically features a fluffy cake base with a sweet crumble topping. Cuca cake can be made with various flavors, but one popular version is Cuca de Banana, where ripe bananas are incorporated into the batter and sometimes sliced bananas are added for extra texture. The crumble topping, made with flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon, adds a deliciously crunchy texture to the cake. Cuca cake is typically enjoyed as a snack or dessert, often served with a cup of coffee or tea.
