Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup brown sugar

All

Method

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise, then cut each half in half again to make quarters.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the banana quarters to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, gently turning them once.
  4. Carefully add the banana liqueur to the skillet and let it warm up for a few seconds.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the rum. Using a long lighter, carefully ignite the rum (be cautious as flames will shoot up).
  6. Let the flames burn off and the sauce thicken slightly.
  7. Serve the Bananas Foster warm over scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  8. Enjoy!
